Summary of Resume
I completed my basic medical education (MBBS) from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, India. During my UG training I became interested in diseases of children because of challenges in diagnosing and also in providing care to small kids. After my post graduation (MD in Pediatrics), I continued to be involved in care of children but had strong inclination towards specializing and therefore I joined the DM course in Medical Genetics at Sanjay Gandhi PGI, a Premier Institute for super-specialization. I learned a lot during this period beside my clinical exposure of patients with genetic syndromes and conditions. Interest in an academic career led to a faculty positions at B P Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, Nepal. Here too I continued to be involved in clinical teaching and training, worked up children with genetic disorders besides my duties as a pediatrician. I was actively involved in establishing and maintaining NICU/ PICU and Intermediate Care Nursery. During my tenure here I also learnt various aspects of Medical education, teaching and assessment methodologies. After my return to India, I had an year spent at Himalyan Institute, Dehradun before finally settling at Indore as Faculty in Pediatrics and as Consultant in Pediatrics and Genetics. I have total experience of about 22 years in Pediatrics and Genetic conditions.
